Complete Case Redesign Sneak-peak

After last weeks posting and feedback, the biggest concern was still airflow for the case. The community made a good point stating once tubing/cabling would be added, the airflow would degrade further. The biggest culprits in the old model was the HDD cage and PSU in middle.

The HDD cage also acted as a beam to support weight of monitors, so removing that would require to basically reshuffle the entire case around...and that is what we did.

We went around speaking to a few experienced computer case modders and they agreed that this newest model was much, MUCH better than before.

Here is a sneak peek of the latest revisions we have planned for next weeks post.

The motherboard has been moved to the middle. There are intakes from now both LEFT and RIGHT sides, being pushed to motherboard compartments by 2 140mm fans. 

The PSU has been isolated from cases airflow. 

Possible air vents being added as exhaust to top of case. 

Example of a watercool setup. A max of 2, 240 radiators can now only be supported. We split it up this way to the CPU can have its radiator on right side, and GPU's on left (if doing dual loop). This should help with crazy tubing issues, plus it looks awesome! 

Radiator exhaust is on bottom, pushing to BACK of case. 

That is currently where we are. We are remodeling case now, with more detail and hopefully plan to have more renders next week. Let us know what you think of this new direction! 

Massive Updates: Design Overhaul, Renders and more

We have been hard at work on the case design since our last update. In that time, we have compiled many of the suggestions and requests and have made some significant changes to the case.

First and foremost, our naming is now decided: we've settled on "BattleStation One" for the enclosure and "BattleStation Labs" for our team.

The models now being shown have been redesigned based on your amazing feedback, and we are getting close to bringing an alpha build to the test bench. We have already reached out to potential manufacturers for the case, and we are ready to go forward as soon as the design is finalized.

We have made comprehensive changes to improve both water and air cooling configurations. Each has a unique arrangement in our latest design revision, which we have laid out for you to see. Check it out below!

• Can fit 2+ water pumps
• Can fit various size of reservoirs (see screenshots), mounts for 2 cylinder/hanging reservoirs

Aircooling (still a WIP):

• Supports radiators similar to Dark Knight and MegaShadow
• Intake is on the left (up to 9x 120mm fans), exhaust is on the right (up to 3x 120mm fans)

Q: Why is it so big?
A: Battlestation One is an enthusiast case designed to accommodate the most extreme system builds, supporting configurations including multiple large radiators as well as extended-size video cards. All these components demand a lot of space! The enclosure is designed to be an extension of your desk, acting as a platform for your monitors as well a showcase to visibly display your high-end build.

Q: The left side is really wasted if I am not going to water cool.
A: In order to support the most high-end water cooling systems, lots of space is a must-have! But those who choose to air cool will still be able to make use of this area to install 3-6 intake fans for maximum airflow and a great visual.

Q: Why not just turn a 2x120mm on the side and shrink the case to reduce length?
A: While this may be sufficient for some users, Battlestation One is designed to meet the needs of the hardcore water cooling/overclocking crowd. On top of that, we believe our radiator orientation makes an amazing visual impact--important for a case that's designed to show off your build's aesthetics!

Q: Will the metal be able to hold weight of monitors without bending?
A: Yes! The HDD cage acts like a beam to support the weight of monitors.

Q: How much space is there between the ceiling of the case and the top of the graphics cards?
A: About 1.5-2" of space.

Q: Do they make SATA cables long enough to connect an optical drive to the motherboard?
A: Yes! The distance is less than 1 meter, which is a readily-available SATA cable length.

Q: Does it come pre-built with internal components?
A: No, Battlestation One is an enthusiast case designed to house your own custom builds.

Q: How much does a case like this cost?
A: We are not sure yet. A price point will be determined once we finalize the design and enter detailed talks with our manufacturing partners.

Innovating the PC case design

This blog is a dedicated worklog/progress update place for a new style upcoming PC case.

The case was inspired by one of my original PC/case deskmod below (more information here)




Many people loved the idea/style of this case and we figured heck, why aren't their cases like this on the market today?

The PC market today is booming, with great advancements to technology and various new innovative computer components coming out. But one place that hasn't moved much is the computer case.

The standard computer case is a tower that is placed on your desk, or on the side of your desk. People that love modding out their cases with LED's, watercooling, UV, and expensive components tend to overlook the tower, and stuff it away hiding all this beauty.

We want to bring a solution to the market where all your computers insides are visible, and you can highlight the hardwork and beauty you put in showing off your PC case.

The Battlestation One case is being designed by me (Shazim) and David. It is a new watercooling/aircooling enthusiast case designed for people who like to 'deck out' their PC case. The case is still currently being designed and modified through community feedback, and we are here to work with you to make a case like never seen on the PC market today.

The Battlestation One is desk-"TOP" PC case that lays on your desk, and supports the weight of your monitors on top. It features a long plexiglass window on the front (to see inside) with a steel body. BS1 currently features heavy importance on cable maangement, and getting all your componenets (radiators, reservoirs, pumps) to all fit INSIDE your PC case.

BS1 case is not for everyone, and we are targeting those who want a new style of case that can wow their friends and show of the inner-beauty of their PC case. Its for those people who like to mod our their case and actually SHOWCASE it, rather than hiding it away in a corner.
